Derrick Johnson
Derrick is a twenty-year-old college student originally from the suburbs of Detroit, Michigan. He transferred to Columbia this fall from a state school because he wanted to be in a more artistic community. In high school Derrick and his friends would write and produce their own movies. Although he wasn’t the most popular kid in school, everyone knew and loved the movies he made. Since writing had always been a hobby of Derricks, he decided to major in film. He wants to become a famous screenwriter. On the train he sits relaxed in his chair, with his right foot resting on his left knee. Reading the Daily Herald, it is obvious that he is involved in what is going on in the world. His laidback nature portrays that he is not directly from the city, although he has adapted well. He is wearing loose jeans and a generic dark red shirt. On the seat next to him is his rather large messenger bag. The bag contains a Macbook Pro and textbooks. A light jacket rests on the top. Derrick’s friends would describe him as calm and collected. He is shy and timid but very knowledgeable. He never voices his opinion until he is asked. Derrick is the only child and doesn’t have close relatives in the in the city, the only people he knows are the few he met in his production classes. Although he doesn’t know very many people he enjoys the city and all the opportunities it brings.

Derrick depresses me. He needs to come out of his shell. Maybe you could help him do that! Good Bye
